Under the guidance of my Ph.D advisor, I led a team of engineers and students in the prototyping of the first generation of the New Smart Water Assessment Network (NUSwan) Autonomous Surface Vehicle (ASV). The ASV is used for water quality monitoring and sensing purposes in the reservoirs around Singapore. Among the tasks and responsibilities involved system software and hardware design, development, integration and field testings. The project has taken off to become a spin-off and currently being developed by Subnero.
